St. Mary's Bluecoat CE Primary School
St Mary’s is a thriving community school, based in our purpose-built site on The Grove which opened in 1963. We take our name from the majestic St Mary Magdalene church, built by Thomas Telford, which stands proudly overlooking the beautiful riverside town of Bridgnorth.
Our links with the church began in our origins when the school was run by the clergy, and we remain today a Church of England school. Our Christian ethos remains at the centre of our school community, and we are fortunate to be supported by the Bridgnorth ministry team, who lead weekly assemblies at the school. Regular visits are also made to St Mary’s Church during the year.
Our school has a warm, vibrant atmosphere where purposeful learning takes place. The teaching and support staff are skilled, enthusiastic, hard-working and caring.
