Christ Church CE Primary School

We are a village primary school situated in the beautiful rural setting of Cressage, near Shrewsbury. Our school has a strong sense of family. Our success revolves around our creative and engaging curriculum and the warm relationships we build throughout our school community, reflecting the Christian ethos and values of our school.  We are a Church school and those values are at our core, but we welcome and serve children and families of all faiths and none.

Our school vision is “Preparing, Sowing, Growing” taken from the parable of the mustard seed – that although it is the smallest of seeds – it grows into a large tree where birds can nest.  We want to prepare our children for life in modern Britain and help them find their interests, passions and vocation.  They may be small but we want to plant seeds of encouragement, ambition and high academic expectation, so that they grow and live exciting, fulfilled lives which are for the benefit of all the community.

Our last Ofsted report was in July 2023 and we were rated ‘Good’ overall with ‘Outstanding’ in the areas of Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes.  The report starts with “pupils are at the heart and centre of Christ Church CE Primary School” and we believe that child-centred approach is what every parent wishes for their child.
