Interested in joining Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust?

There are many advantages to schools being part of a Multi Academy Trust. These range from a closer professional working relationship with a number of other schools and the benefits derived from sharing best practice, through to opportunities to work across more than one school and those associated with economies of scale in buying services.

To find out more about Shropshire Church of England Academies Trust, its activities, its partner schools and how you can become a partner, please get in touch with us by emailing Mrs Erica Skidmore (PA to the iCEO) on admin@beckbury.shropshire.sch.uk or telephone (01952 750287). Mrs Claire Gaskin (iCEO) will be pleased to contact you and arrange to speak with your school's governing body.

If you are from a school within Hereford Diocese, you can read their academisation strategy and useful documents here.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership offers an opportunity for schools and trusts to form a partnership, allowing the Trust to provide support to a school. If you were to receive this support from SCEAT, this arrangement would be outlined in a bespoke service level agreement that would clearly specify the services the Trust will provide and their associated costs. The flexible nature of this arrangement enables the school to access the resources and supportive systems of the Trust. The service level agreement, which could be negotiated between the school and the Trust, can cover various areas of support, such as school improvement, curriculum development, SEND Provision, governance function, CPD through collaboration and networking, strategy and vision, safeguarding, behavioural support... to name a few!

This collaborative approach allows the Associate Member School and the Trust to explore the partnership and “try before they buy,” providing an opportunity to sample the benefits and strengths of a partnership before making a long-term commitment. During this type of partnership, the school can also evaluate the benefits of working with the Trust, considering the possibility of converting into the Trust in the future based on their experience. At the same time, the Trust can conduct its due diligence process in a timely and less intrusive manner to ensure a strong alignment of values and ethos.
